John Irving elected to RMA Council

John Irving has been elected as an Ordinary Council Member of the Royal Musical Association

John Irving has been elected an Ordinary Council Member of the Royal Musical association, to serve from January 2007 until December 2009. He will begin this role at the RMA Research Students Conference to be held in Bristol's Music Department from 3-6 January.  Founded in 1874, the Royal  Musical Association is the second oldest musicological society in the world. It organises conferences, publishes scholarship, makes awards and encourages the development of musical scholarship.
