Saturday workshop: Vaughan Williams, Hardy and the Ninth Symphony

An afternoon workshop preceding the evening concert.

The workshop will reflect on the work's recently revealed associations with Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles, as well as considering the symphony in the context of Vaughan Williams's late works, together with the complex interpretive issues it raises.
