This hands-on course will explore some of the tradtional rhythms and improvisational techniques found in West African music. Using instruments from Ghana such as the xylophone, bass drum, talking drum and small percussion, you will experience the essential dynamics of group improvisation inherent to this vibrant sound-world.
This course is designed for those with some prior musical experience. Instruments will be provided.
