One of the term’s highlights will undoubtedly be this evening concert of popular Czech chamber music given the by the internationally acclaimed Martinů String Quartet, making a most welcome return to the Victoria Rooms. A glowing review of a recent concert in Paris praised the Quartet for its ‘brilliance and high-spirited exuberance……a richness of sound worthy of the very best quartets of recent decades’. There is no charge for admission – just a retiring collection – but you are recommended to arrive early to get a seat. Not to be missed!
