Get hands-on with the dynamic surround sounds of BULO, the Bristol University Loudspeaker Orchestra. In Eric Samothrakis' new work, the hands are the composer's, as he plays, samples, transforms and projects the sounds of the djembe drum. In Paul Kim's work, the audience join with guest artist Roger Huckle in shaping the course of the music moment by moment. This concert is presented in collaboration with Elektrostatic, the new-music series of the Emerald Ensemble and Colston Hall. Join us after the concert for a public demonstration of BULO and the new electronic instruments, a rare chance for an "insider view".
