MA final submissions and vivas

From 2009-10, both full-time and part-time students are required to make their final submission by 15 September in the year following initial registration (two years after in the case of part-time students).

Candidates are reminded that they must provide two copies of their final 60-credit submissions.

The MA is externally examined but candidates are not normally required to attend a viva voce examination, but should be prepared to do so if required. The External Examiner is asked to moderate the coursework and/or examination marks and the dissertation. A jointly agreed report on the dissertation must be submitted by the internal and external examiners. The External Examiner may require errors to be corrected.

A statement about any circumstances which may have affected a candidate's performance, including medical conditions, must accompany the Examiners' Report.
