About the Bristol MB ChB Programmes

The Bristol Medical School has three entry routes. The majority of students enrol on the standard Medicine MB ChB programme (A100) which has 216 places for home and EU students and 19 places for overseas students. Each year we also accept 19 Graduate Entry students (A101) and 10 Pre Medical students (A104).

Students on the standard programme spend most of the first two years based at the School of Medical Sciences in Bristol.  During the final three years of the programme, students spend the majority of their time on clinical placement in Academies.

Please note that all medical students are required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check, in line with other health-related courses in the United Kingdom.
