We have just started developing these pages and there will be more learning materials in the future. Please email any comments and suggestions to barbara.laue@bristol.ac.uk
In Year 3 you have a chance to learn in General Practice in each Unit. You will be in groups of 3-5 students and have 4 GP sessions during Junior Medicine and Surgery and 2 sessions each during MDEMO and Psychiatry and Ethics.
These are flexible learning opportunities and can be tailored to your needs. Students tell us that they particularly like the relaxed small group atmosphere which makes it easy to ask questions and helps to develop confidence. Please see your GP Student Guidebook (PDF, 622 Kb) for information how to organise the sessions and how to make the most of this learning opportunity.
We have created a Mock OSCE which you will be able to view and mark online. This will give you insight into a Primary Care OSCE station, deepen your learning about consultation skills and provide factual information how to manage a patient with rectal bleeding.
