German pianoforte treatises
Areas of expertise
I am an organist and choral conductor. My main research interests are in 18th and early-19th century music. I am currently engaged in a study of German pianoforte treatises of the classical period, and I am also editing a volume of Etudes for the new Peters Chopin edition and an anthology of English organ music of the period 1800–1850. Other interests include the organ music of J.S. Bach and aspects of performance practice in mid-18th-century keyboard music.
