| Areas of expertise |
I am currently the PI on the Arabian tahr conservation project in Oman. My main interests lie in conservation biology. I have a broad biological background but concentrate on field based studies of behavioural ecology to understand species vulnerability. I have interests in the application of modelling techniques as a tool for species conservation, particularly habitat selection and species distributions. I have succesufully conducted research on lions in Botswana, Pallas's cat in Mongolia and now the Arabian tahr in Oman.
