Areas of expertise My research interests lie in the field of human behavioural ecology: using concepts from evolutionary biology to explain human behavioural diversity. The study of human behavioural ecology assumes that biology and behaviour can evolve and adapt through natural selection and by maximising reproductive fitness. Furthermore, that these strategies change overtime/space according to different social and ecological circumstances.

The focus of my research has been to use evolutionary ecological approaches to identify child health issues in the developing world, particularly those arising from recent population changes.
