The Applied Group is one of the leading in the country with 21 members of staff - two of which are Fellows of the Royal Society.

Quantum Engineering CDT

The aim of this CDT is to train the first generation of Quantum Engineers. This four-year doctoral programme offers a stimulating experience for those seeking academic excellence and a route into the quantum technologies industry. This programme was designed to encompass theoretical understanding and the practical application of quantum physics, and it offers a breadth of opportunities.
