Library membership and access

The Library Membership Services team is based in the Arts & Social Sciences Library, Tyndall Avenue. The office is to the right of the main entrance.

The team is responsible for all Library membership enquiries, including external membership, library visits and access arrangements and provides:

Access, registration and membership for individual and corporate external users, subject to the approval of the Director of Library Services
Authorisation of individual SCONUL Access membership for University of Bristol staff and students and for visiting university staff and students
Library membership and account enquiry point for University of Bristol staff and students
Group and individual visits to the 10 libraries
Referral of relevant enquiries to Special Collections
Payment collection for membership fees
On-site photo-capture facility

Membership Services is managed by Nathalie Beaufils who can be contacted by email lib-access@bristol.ac.uk or by telephone 0117 928 8003.

The office is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm (subject to staffing; if you are making a special trip please check with us in advance).

Card Services are responsible for issue and management of the UCard on behalf of the University.

Please note that as of 10 October 2011, Card Services has transferred to Security Services, located in Royal Fort Lodge, Tyndall Avenue.
