Vacation loans and reading

In the Arts and Social Sciences Library, vacation loans to undergraduates begin on the last but one Thursday of term:

  • any standard loan book borrowed by an undergraduate on or after that day is loaned for the whole vacation, instead of the normal 28 day loan period
  • any 7 day loan books, but not serials, borrowed by an undergraduate on or after that day is loaned for the whole vacation instead of the normal 7 day period
  • 3 day loan books, serials and short loan books are never issued for the whole vacation
  • you may  use the Library Catalogue to reserve a book that is on loan - though you need to do this before the last but one Wednesday of term to maximise the chances that you may be able to pick it up before the start of the vacation
