Mary Jane Steer

Mary Jane Steer is the Subject Librarian for Law.

Subject Librarian responsibilities include:

Liaison with the School of Law, support for academic staff and students in their research and learning requirements, training, collection management of the stock held in the Wills Memorial Library, promotion of library resources both printed and electronic.

Qualifications

• BA (Hons) Geography/ History, Bath College of Higher Education
• City and Guilds Certificate in Teaching for Further and Higher Education
• PG Diploma in Library and Information Studies, Thames Valley University

Professional membership and activities

• Membership Secretary of IAML UK and Ireland (International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres)
• Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Management (CILIP)
• Accredited Member of the Society of Indexers
• Lecturer in Cataloguing, MSc in Information and Library Management, University of Bristol, 1996-2003
