Hilary Ollerenshaw
Hilary is the Faculty Librarian for the Faculties of Medical & Veterinary Sciences and Medicine & Dentistry.
Faculty Librarian responsibilities include:
- In liaison with senior Faculty academic staff and managers, leading planning, development, provision and monitoring of library services and collections for the two medical Faculties
- Representing the Library at Faculty committees
- Leading and managing the Medical Subject Librarian team
- Contributing to the development of strategy and policy relating to Library-wide resources and services
Subject Librarian responsibility for Medicine:
- Academic liaison
- Providing library induction to new staff and students
- Teaching library and information skills to all levels of students, integrated with the Faculties' curricula
- Managing library collections, and promoting new and existing library services and resources.
Qualifications
- BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology, Queen's University of Belfast
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, Ulster Polytechnic
- MSc with Commendation, in Information and Library Management, University of Bristol

Chartered member (MCLIP) of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP)
