Sue is the Subject Librarian for education, counselling and psychology.
Liaison with the Graduate School of Education and the Department of Experimental Psychology. Formal and informal liaison with both staff and students, through attendance of academic staff meetings including course committees, School Committee, Teaching and Learning Committee and Information Services Executive.
Library representation and participation in QAA quality reviews and those reviews dealing with the professional accreditation of programmes and courses, including OFSTED and the British Psychological Society.
Subject support for academic staff and students in their research, learning and teaching activities. Promotion of existing and new, print and electronic library resources and services to users.
Collection management of the stock held in the Education Library and for the psychology collection of materials in the Arts and Social Sciences Library.
Providing user education to students, academic and library staff, including tours, academic induction, and in-depth subject searching of online databases and other electronic resources. Production of user education guides and maintenance of the subject resources web pages to support users.
