Jez Conolly

Jez is the Faculty Librarian for the Faculty of Arts and Subject Librarian for Drama, Historical Studies and History of Art.

Faculty Librarian responsibilities:

As Faculty Librarian, Jez provides a link between the Library and the Arts Faculty. He is responsible for communicating with senior faculty staff and managers, and promoting library collections and services in support of teaching, learning and research across the Faculty. Jez leads the Faculty Subject Librarian team, co-ordinating liaison work, collection development activities and information literacy teaching programmes.

Subject Librarian responsibilities:

Liaison with the academic departments listed above, support for academic staff and students in their research and learning requirements, undergraduate and postgraduate training, collection management of the stock held in the Arts and Social Sciences Library, promotion of library resources both printed and electronic.

Qualifications

  • MSc in Library and Information Management, University of Bristol
  • MA in Film Studies and European Cinema, University of the West of England

  • Member of Library eBooks Group
  • Member of the Information Literacy Working Group
  • Leader of the Library Disaster Reaction Team
  • Editor/author of Intute Virtual Training Suite 'Internet for Performing Arts' and 'Internet for Media and Communications' tutorials
