Cathryn's role is Director of Library Services and University Librarian.

Responsibilities

Member of the Library Management Team

Responsible for leading and developing Library activities with regard to:

• To lead the Library and its services
• To provide strategic leadership, particularly for the development of the University’s Library & Information Resources Provision Strategy
• To be responsible for the delivery of library services to all students and staff of the University
• To lead Library communication and public relations activities
• To lead Library support for and response to University, Faculty and Department quality assurance exercises

Qualifications

• BA Philosophy, California State University, Long Beach, 1977
• Master of Library and Information Science, University of California Los Angeles, 1985
• Diploma in Management Studies, University of the West of England, 1993

Research interests

• Higher education policy and management; change management; organisational structures and cultures; management of information services in HE
