Collections

Veterinary Sciences resources can be found in the following branches:

If you need an item which is not available anywhere in the library system here in print or online, you can use the Inter-Library Loans service to obtain it from another library. There is a charge for this service, though you may be able to obtain an Inter-library loan voucher to pay for this. See the information for undergraduates, postgraduates or academic staff for details of how to obtain these vouchers. Access to other university libraries and the British Library may be a useful alternative.

  • New books with a standard loan, 7 day loan or confined status are displayed on the New Book Display in the Veterinary Sciences Library for two weeks, during which time they may be reserved using the Library Catalogue but not borrowed. New books for the 'yellow-tape' 3-day loan collection shelved in the library office will be available for loan straight away. A list of these books will be available on the New Book Display shelf.
  • New books (UOB access only)
  • See the information for undergraduates, postgraduates or academic staff for details of how to recommend the purchase of new books, or other materials

  • Most Veterinary sciences undergraduate course materials and some lecturer’s notes, are available on Blackboard.
