Your subject contact is Emma Place, the Subject Librarian for Theology and Religious Studies.  Please contact Emma if you need any help with your Library research.  You are also welcome to suggest books for the Library (for example if you would like additional copies to be bought to help meet demand) via the Book suggestions form (UOB access only).

Information literacy: training and skills for finding information

Making proper use of the Library and its resources will help you to get the most out of your studies at Bristol.

In consultation with the Department of Theology and Religious Studies all new students receive an introduction to the Arts and Social Sciences Library, including a tour of the building and practical instruction on finding material in the library catalogue and retrieving it from the shelves. All new undergraduates are required to attend this induction session, students are able to sign up for a place at registration.

Additional, and more in-depth training in finding and using information is provided for undergraduates embarking on final year dissertations.
