Information for academics
This page focuses on subject information specific to academic staff, but also points to other useful pages.
- Your subject contact is Sue Chubb the Subject Librarian for Psychology. The Contacts section of the Library website details other contacts and enquiry points.
- The Subject Librarian also attends one of the School of Experimental Psychology meetings for academic staff, early in the academic year, to report on library news and developments, relevant to psychology and to answer any questions from staff and postgraduates.
- If you are a new member of staff, please do contact your subject librarian to discuss how the library can best support you, your research and your students.
Subject resources
- Book purchase recommendations can be made to Sue Chubb or to the Academic Library Representative for Experimental Psychology.
- New journal / database subscription requests can be made to the Academic Library Representative for Experimental Psychology. Requests may also be addressed to the Subject Librarian for Psychology although you will need to suggest how we might fund a new subscription.
- The collections page details useful psychology collections and related subject material in the libraries, and advice on using other university libraries and also the British Library.
- Psychology quick reference tools, databases, bibliographies and reviews, and Internet links pages are available.

Inter-library loan vouchers
- If you need an item which is not available anywhere in the library system here in print or online, you can use the Inter-library loans service to obtain it from another library. There is a charge for this service, although academic staff should be able to obtain Inter-library loan voucher/s from the School. A voucher is needed for each ILL requested and will act as payment for any ILL item/s obtained.
