Journal title abbreviations

Literature references are often written with abbreviated titles. An example is:

Wolf, A., and Shoham, M., 2003, “Investigation of Parallel Manipulators Using Linear Complex Approximation,” ASME J. Mech. Des., 1253, pp. 564–572.

Probably the most troublesome part of this is the ASME J. Mech. Des, as it can make finding the item difficult. To translate the abbreviation (to: American Society of Mechanical Engineers: Journal of Mechanical Design) try consulting the resources mentioned below or ask your Subject Librarian for help.
