Subject resources

• The collections page details useful anatomy collections in the libraries, and advice on using other university libraries and the British Library.
• Anatomy quick reference tools, databases, reviews and bibliographies, and Internet links pages are available.

New books

• New books are displayed on the New Book Display in the Medical Library for two weeks, during which time they may be reserved using the Library Catalogue but not borrowed. See the new books (UOB access only) list.
• Book purchase recommendations can be made to Medical Library Staff or to Glenn Wakley (Library Representative for Anatomy).

Thesis collection

PhD, MD, MSc, ChM and DSc theses of staff and students of the Anatomy Department, from 1910 to date, are available in the thesis collection in the Medical Library.

Inter-library loan vouchers

If you need an item which is not available anywhere in the library system here in print or online, you can use the Inter-Library Loans service to obtain it from another library. There is a charge for this service, though you may be able to obtain an Inter-library loan voucher to pay for this. Please contact Anthea Moody in the Faculty Office. Access to other university libraries and the British Library may be a useful alternative.

Training and skills for finding and using information

• New postgraduates are welcome to contact the Subject Librarian for Anatomy to arrange a session on how the Library can help you with your research.
• Courses in EndNote (UOB access only), the personal bibliographic database package, are available to research postgraduates and may be booked via COBS.
