Databases

MetaLib: your resource gateway provides access to a vast range of online resources, including databases, search engines, subject gateways, and selected Internet resources.

The main databases for anatomy are the Web of Science (Science Citation Index), BIOSIS and Medline or PubMed. See the MetaLib links below for a list of all databases offering anatomy content.

• Anatomy databases via MetaLib (cross-search list)
  This link takes you to the list of anatomy databases and other information resources, with a cross-search option.  For details of a particular resource click on the Info icon next to the resource name. Alternatively,  Anatomy databases via MetaLib (list with brief details) lists the same databases, but with with brief details displayed against each. Click on the Info icon to display the full details.

Help and Guidance

The Medical Library runs formal training sessions on database searching for anatomy students. However if you require additional help please contact Medical Library Staff

You can also use the self-paced training guides and tutorials to learn how to use each resource.
