[07 May 2012]
In addition to providing journal citation information the Web of Knowledge now includes book citation information by way of the Book Citation Index. From 7 May the Book Citation Index is being made freely available on a three month trial basis to members of the University. Access to the Index is automatically included as part of the Library's Web of Science subscription agreement.
The Book Citation Index covers over 30,000 scholarly books starting with publication year 2005 and provides information on the cited counts for books and book chapters, with links from records to full-text available.
From the Web of Science you can search across the complete range of citation databases, or select only the Book Citation Index by expanding the selection under the Citation Databases heading. For further information about the Index please visit the service providers website
Our trial of the Book Citation Index found within the Web of Knowledge ends on 7 August. The service provider, Thomson Reuters, are keen to receive feedback about the Index, and this can be provided by way of a feedback form.
Please send any other feedback or questions about this trial to the Electronic Resources Team: e-library@bristol.ac.uk
