Furthering Your Education
Your course here may have sparked your interest in an area of law you hadn’t previously considered – and if you are an undergraduate student you may now be looking to specialise with one of our LLM or other postgraduate degrees.
Did you know, you could receive a 10% alumni discount on postgraduate tuition fees by applying for one of the University's Postgraduate Alumni Scholarships? The Law School also offers Wellcome Trust funding for our LLM in Health, Law and Society - and for PhD Studentships. For international students there are our Global Justice Scholarships.
- Work Experience
For those just starting out in the Law School, there is nothing more powerful than hearing about the journey of previous students - especially those early in their career. If you would like to offer an alumni lecture, become a student mentor or judge a mooting competition, please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's never too late to book a 1:1 appointment with Jo Cooksley, our specialist Employability Advisor, who can help you explore your options, prepare for interviews, maximise the impact of your CV - and much more. Book your session through MyCareer.
Taking Time Out
For employers, there are many benefits to appointing people with real-world experiences. An increased level of maturity, experience of being in a work-environment (even if that work environment consists of pulling pints!) and demonstrating a real commitment to your chosen career path can all give you the edge over other candidates.
