Visiting Researchers
Scholars from other universities are welcome to apply to visit the Law School for a period of study. We expect that a visitor will have already secured an offer to work with an existing member of staff in the Law School who researches in a related area. Any visitor will also be expected to give a talk in our research seminar series.
We regret that we are unable to provide a stipend, travel expenses or personal office space in the Law School; however, visitors can expect to have library and e-mail access, to meet regularly with a member (or members) of staff, and to deliver a research seminar during their stay.
An application to visit should include:
- the title of the research project, the anticipated dates of the visit and the name of the member of staff with whom the visitor wishes to work;
- a full curriculum vitae (resumé) and
- a detailed research plan for the period to be spent at the University of Bristol Law School.
Applications are highly competitive, and should be made by e-mail to the Research Director, Professor Tonia Novitz, at least six (6) months before the proposed visit: .
