- Launch of the Human Rights Implementation Centre
- A drinks reception to launch the new Human Rights Implementation Centre was held in the Graduate School of Education, 35 Berkeley Square, Bristol on 10th September. This event was well attended by University staff and PhD students, law professionals as well as other delegates from the Implementation Seminar held earlier in the day. This seminar was attended by, among others, Ruth Wedgwood, Member of the UN Human Rights Committee and also of Johns Hopkins University. Others attending launch included Sir Nigel Rodley, former UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and current member of the UN Human Rights Committee and Justice Sanji Monageng, judge of the International Criminal Court.
