Press release issued: 17 January 2017

Home to the next generation of change makers, this week staff and students move into 8-10 Berkeley Square

The exchange of keys from builders to staff marked the culmination of an exciting project to expand the facilities available to law students today.

The refurbishment, which is on track to receive a world-leading sustainability assessment from BREEAM, will be an inspirational learning space.

New facilities include a research hub for PhD students, a state-of-the-art moot court, space for members of the Human Rights Implementation Centre – and a public facing Law Clinic. Professor Joanne Conaghan, Head of School, commented:

This is an exciting moment for the Law School. 8-10 Berkeley Square is more than a building. It is a symbol of our commitment to our students’ employability. Here they will be able to hone the skills required by future employers.

Students are invited to help celebrate the opening of 8-10 Berkeley Square on 9th February. More details, photos and news of Berkeley Square firsts to follow shortly.
