Housing law in Wales: forging ahead?

28 April 2016

A one day conference run by the University of Bristol Law School, Anthony Gold, and Doughty Street Chambers will examine the significant elements of the two major housing Acts in Wales, the Housing (Wales) Act and the Renting Homes (Wales) Act.

The Welsh Government has carried through a substantial legislative programme reforming all aspects of housing and tenancy rights and responsibilities. These significant changes will ultimately lead to an effective separation of Wales from England in housing and tenancy law. This conference brings together leading housing and landlord & tenant lawyers and academics, with some of the policy-makers and architects of the new legislation to offer a review of the changes and the future of Welsh housing law.

The conference will run on 24 May 2016 at Cardiff Law School, Museum Avenue, Cardiff, CF10 3AX. Booking is required here
