Akis Psygkas participated in a conference entitled “Social Issues for Social Sciences” that was organised by the Max Weber Programme at the European University Institute (10-12 June 2015). Akis discussed his research on “The Participatory Democracy Index,” which proposes a model of thinking about stakeholder engagement in public policymaking beyond Election Day.

The conference provided an interdisciplinary perspective on economic, historical, legal and political debates in research. This year’s keynote speakers were Nobel laureate Jean Tirole and Judge Gertrude Lübbe-Wolff of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany.
