Broaden your horizons
The Law School works very closely with the Careers Service throughout the academic year to offer a wide range of events to promote careers within and outside of the law - and expose you to a variety of employers. Expanding your professional network allows you to make informed decisions about your career.
Themed weeks 2018-19
A number of skills sessions took place as part of our themed week series this Autumn, providing advice on becoming a solicitor or a barrister - and on areas of law and non-law, such as family, technology and the charity sector. There was an emphasis on providing transferable skills that also explore alternative careers. Thank you to all of the students and employers that attended these events. We are looking forward to putting together an even bigger and better series next Autumn term!
Law Fortnight: 1-12 October 2018
Coinciding with our revamped Law Exhibition (4 & 11 October), Law Fortnight brings together a variety of legal employers to provide insight into traditional routes into law and to provide networking opportunities with leading employers. We also kick off our annual two-part Herbert Smith Freehills application workshop series - more details coming soon.
