Phishing Scam Alert

[01 June 2018]

Please be aware that we have recently had a phishing incident that targeted both staff and students across the university.

Phishing emails can often come from addresses that at first may appear to be a reputable source. Always look over the email thoroughly to ensure it is legitimate and be wary of any email asking you to update or respond to activity on your account.

If you receive an email that you suspect may be a phishing scam, do not respond, click on any links or open any attachments in the email.

If you have opened any links and think your account may be at risk, please change your password using the online web form and contact the IT Service Desk for advice.

For more information about Phishing, please check the University web page which has advice about how to spot scams and what to do.
