The annual Professional Services Excellence Awards at the University of Bristol were held last Thursday, 26th January.

The Awards recognise the outstanding contributions of staff within Professional Services. This year saw 273 nominations which is a testament to our staff who go above and beyond their day-to-day role and highlights how staff value the contributions of their colleagues.

IT Services’ staff were very well represented in the list of nomintions  and the winning projects.

Of particular note on the night were the following winning nominations:

  • The Award for Outstanding Innovation went to the 'Find a Computer' Project Team, IT Services
  • The Registrar's Award for Diversity for the UoB Bristol Pride 2016 Team. This involved various departments including staff in IT Services.
  • The Award for Outstanding Crisis Recovery was won by the Staff Contribution to the recovery from the Colston Street Fire. A number of IT staff were noted under this category.

In the category of The Award for Outstanding Partnership, there was an honourable mention for those involved in 2016 Undergraduate Confirmation and Clearing Process, and a highly commended for the team behind the planning and delivery of Beacon House, which again included staff from IT Services.

Many congratulations to all those involved in the above projects, and to all those nominated.
