Good news for IT Services in the  2016 YourBristolSurvey.
  • 91% of undergraduates and 93% of taught postgraduates agreed that they have been able to use their own devices to access University IT resources. These are up by 4% from the 2015 survey and for the second year are the highest results for those cohorts.
  • 82% of undergraduates and 87% of taught postgraduates agreed that the University's IT resources and facilities had supported their learning well. These are up from 2015 and rank in the top ten results.

The YourBristolSurvey covers undergraduate students who are not in their final year plus all taught postgraduate students. The survey ran in February 2016 with over 4,400 responses.

Students were asked whether they agreed with 39 statements about teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, student voice and overall satisfaction.

Respondents were also asked what the best thing about their course and overall experience were and what could be improved. Mediasite and Blackboard were the most loved IT services but also the IT services that they most wanted to see improved. A significant number of comments also requested more open access computers and cheaper printing costs.
