Overview of IT maintenance activity and affected services in July and August

Summer is a busy time for IT Services as we update services and databases. It is essential that this work is done to ensure the security and performance of these services. To achieve this work we often make services unavailable for the duration of the maintenance activity. We are very mindful of when this takes place and consult with the service owners on the best time to minimise disruption to staff and students; this is partly the reason why the summer is so busy.
