Loss of network link between MVB and Queens - resolved

Update 11:18, 24 November: We have implemented an alternate route for links between Queen's Building and MVB.  This should resolve any problems users are experiencing.

Computers should automatically reconnect but if not then please reboot your machine.

Following reports at around 10am of network issues in MVB and Queens we have identified that we have lost a major network fibre link between Queen's Building and MVB.

The issue is not affecting subnets which are entirely contained within either building.

The issue affects network connections running between Queens Building and MVB; therefore spanned subnets are likely to be impacted (working from only one building at best).

The network team are investigating the cause of this. Please note that wireless is not affected.
