New Mac Managed Software Center

mac applications badgeWe are pleased to announce a new software self-service system for Mac computers, called the Managed Software Center [sic].

The Managed Software Center will allow those with University supplied Mac computers to manage the installation of updates and to find and install software available to staff and postgraduate researchers.

  • In most cases installation is completely automated, you just need to start the install.
  • You don’t need Elevated User Rights (EUR) or administrator access to install software from the Managed Software Center.
  •  It is also possible to install applications from the Managed Software Center when you’re away from the University, by connecting to the Junos Pulse VPN.
