Syllabus+ and staff Google calendar sync now back

Update 16:30, 20 January: The problem with duplicate content being added to staff calendars has now been resolved. We have re-enabled the sync between Syllabus+ and Google calendars for staff so new changes will be updated.

However, we have been unable to identify and remove a small number of duplicates that may already exist in calendars. We advise staff to check the timetable in MyBristol against their Calendar and to remove any timetable entries from their calendar which are not shown in their timetables on MyBristol.

We have recently identified an issue with duplicate / conflicting timetabling content populating staff Google calendars.

This has affected around 500 staff and they have been individually contacted. As a precaution we have disabled the sync between Syllabus+ and Google calendar. This means that very recent changes may not be visible.

We would advise all staff to check their timetable via the University portal, MyBristol, where your timetable can be viewed under the Course tab.

We anticipate resolving this issue in the next 24 hours. We will update this news item and the IT status page when the situation is resolved.
