Problems with Staff Filestore, 19 February

On 19 February at approximately 3.30pm our systems reported  intermittent slow down of access to the Staff Filestore. In essence, staff files would have intermittent slow downs (or offline/online for clients with Off Line files). The Student Filestore was not affected.

Work took place to investigate and resolve the problem. However, at around 5.00pm the problems became worse and the Staff Filestore became inaccessible for staff.

Further work took place on the service and the Staff Filestore was back by 7.36pm

While the service has stabilised we are monitoring the situation carefully and working with suppliers to identify the cause of the problem.

It is likely that additional work may be necessary on the service.
