Built-in PDF viewer in Chrome to be disabled on Open Access computers

Maintenance badge

[12 November 2014]

By default, the Chrome browser uses a built-in PDF viewer to open PDFs. It has been identified that this built-in viewer causes problems when printing PDFs to certain types of printers.

To avoid this issues IT Services will disable the built-in PDF viewer in Chrome on 12 November 2014 for Open Access Computers found in Study Spaces, Libraries etc. When this happens Chrome will use Adobe Reader to display PDFs.
