Essential network maintenance 8-9am, 5 August

Abstract connected network

IT Services is upgrading the firmware on all major distribution routers during the summer. This is essential work which aims to fix existing bugs in the code, and to enable new hardware and feature support.

During each maintenance period there will be a break in network to the rest of the campus and internet in specific locations for 15 minute between 8-9am. Affected areas are noted below.

Tuesday 5 August

  • Dorothy Hodgkin Building and connected hospital buildings (e.g. Education Centre)
  • Medical School
  • Langford
  • Queens Building (connected Engineering Faculty buildings will be at risk - MVB, 81/83 & 93/95 Woodland Road) 

Communications will be sent to staff in each location providing information on this work.
