Essential maintenance to wireless service 06:00-09:00 on Tuesday 28 February

Update 21 February:  A bug has been identified in the wireless service.  This has meant that a number of staff and students have had problems authenticating to the UoB wireless service. A temporary fix is now in place. A long-term fix will be applied on Tuesday 28 February between 06:00-09:00.  During this time all University wireless services will be unavailable, this includes:
  • ResNet wireless
  • eduroam
  • Bristol-Managed-PCs
  • VisitorNet

IT Services apologises for any inconvenience caused.


Update, 16 February: This issue has been referred to an external supplier.


We have had reported problems with staff and student authentication to:

  • ResNet wireless
  • eduroam
  • Bristol-Managed-PCs

We are currently investigating the cause.
