It is not recommended that you use email to send large files to other people.
If you have a large Word document (or other file) that you need to send to someone, first check that they have the ability to read it.
When you have agreed with the recipient which type of file to send, use the Facility for the Large Upload of Files (fluff). Your file will be uploaded to the website and you will be able to point other people to its location.
You can save both messages and message attachments as files on the PC: with the message header selected or the message opened in the Viewer window, from the File menu click on Save. A Save dialog box is displayed and you can specify the path and name for the file as usual
Messages saved as plain text can be opened on both PCs and Macs using any text editing or word processor software e.g. Word, Notepad. Messages can also be copied and pasted into new email messages. However, they cannot be reopened using email software.
