1. Tap Start > Messaging. Click IMAP4 > Select.
   
2. Click Menu > Options, then click New Account.
   
3. Enter:
   • Your name and email address. Click Next.
   • Your UoB user name and password.  Click Next. (See: Guidance on saving your UoB password on mobile devices.)
   
4. Enter the following settings (click Next to move to the next page of settings):
   • Server type and Account name should both be set to IMAP4.
   • Set Network to WAP Network.
   • Set Incoming Server to staff-imap-srv.bris.ac.uk, and ensure that Require SSL connection is ticked.
   • Set Outgoing Server to smtp-auth.bris.ac.uk:587
   
   
5. Enter suitable settings for how much mail you want to download and ho much of each message to download. If you set a size limit as shown here then emails that include large attachments can be downloaded separately once you have viewed the main message.
6. Set Connect automatically and check for messages to Never
7. Click Finish to complete email setup.
   

Your phone is now setup up to synchronise with your UoB email.

• To send and receive mail click Start > Messaging. Click IMAP4. Click Menu > Send/Receive.
