AskIT community support network for mobile IT

1. Click Settings and select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
   
2. Select Add Account...
3. If you are shown a list of email providers (Google, Yahoo, etc.) select Other.
4. Enter your name, University email address (eg. ab1234@bristol.ac.uk), University password, and a description of the account (eg. UOB Email). Click Save. (See: Guidance on saving your UoB password on mobile devices.)
   
5. • Make sure that IMAP is selected at the top of the page.
   • Under Incoming Mail Server Host Name, enter staff-imap-srv.bris.ac.uk if you are a member of staff or research postgraduate or student-imap-srv.bris.ac.uk if you are a taught postgraduate or undergraduate.
   • Type in smtp-auth.bris.ac.uk for Outgoing Mail Server Host Name.
   • Make sure that your University username and password is entered in both sections.
   • Click Save.
   
6. If you get a message saying that a certificate may not be valid, click Continue.
   
7. To access your email, click Mail on your iPhone/iPod's home screen.
