Link Outlook & Thunderbird to Gmail

Important: where Google's instructions (linked to below) say to enter your full Gmail address, you must enter the username version of your email address (eg yz1234@bristol.ac.uk) and not your personalised email address (eg eddie.elgar@bristol.ac.uk will not work).
