Oracle's clients for PDAs without phone or wi-fi connectivity

Oracle offers a number of clients for using Calendar with different platforms. To download the required client for your PDA and to access Oracle's installation and configuration guides please use the links in the following table:

Palm OS 3.5 (and later versions) and Pocket PC 2002 / 2003 devices

Oracle suggests using Synthesis SyncML clients, which are available from the Synthesis website. You should use the settings in the table below.

Username / Password Your normal UoB Username and Calendar Password. This may be different from your UoB password.

Please note: it is useful to read both the 'Review Device Limitations' and 'Read additional information' sections as these explain any quirks or 'gotchas' that might cause problems when synchronising with Calendar.

Viewing rights settings for Palm and Pocket PC

There are constraints with settings for viewing rights when using PDAs. There are only two settings, 'Normal' (or 'Not Private') and 'Private'. The following table shows how the normal viewing rights settings relate to Palm and Pocket PC viewing rights.
