We routinely receive notification of events which might disrupt some aspect of the JANET network service in the form of "tickets". These are sent to us as mail messages and are used not only to notify us of planned disruptions, but also to inform us of unexpected events.
These messages are automatically archived, on receipt, into an IMAP-4 mail folder. Access has been set on the folder to allow everyone to read the messages it contains.
The folder is named jips-tickets and it is stored under the user.lists folder on the Computer Centre's staff IMAP server imap-srv.cse.bris.ac.uk.
What you need to do to get at the folder depends on the mail program you use:
Using Mulberry, define a new IMAP Mailbox account
When you connect to it, use the username anonymous and give anything you like (so long as it's not null) as the password (unless you are a member of Information Services staff, based in the Computer Centre and are registered on the server, in which case you could use your allocated username and password).
You should be able to see a lists folder and under this a jips-tickets folder (you may see it as lists.jips-tickets, though, depending on the software you are using). If you can't, check that your mail program is configured to list all folders, not just subscribed. The jips-tickets folder contains this years tickets. In it, you should also be able to see a set of sub-folders, representing previous years' tickets (or see them as lists.jips-tickets.1996 etc).
